What a week!!!

I had the most frustrating week ever!!! I had to go all around Brooklyn doing inventory for my internship and ended up spraining my ankle in the process. Then I got great news that I was going to get paid for my internship and on top of that I get to work on a video for the company! Ya!!! I am so excited to see what this weekend will bring... Maybe some drunken adventures with my old roomie????

Above is my piece that was chosen to go into the display case at school. YAAA!!!! My first piece to be in the school display case. It makes me feel special!

Ha ha! Just had an amazing chat with my parents and they gave me some kick ass ideas for my projects! One which I thought was hysterical was an idea for a children's book (which of course I will not use, because of the content) would be My Teacher Touched Me... I think that it is hilarious!

Rainy Day

I had to go around the city today in the rain and go on a FREAKING scavanger hunt for these stickers for my internship. I really didn't mind it except for the rain. I was drenched from head to toe and I bet you anything that I will get sick from this. I plan to not do any work tonight and to veg out and watch as many Inuyasha episodes as possible that I can possibly fit in my tiny skull... oh and eat like a pig!

I haven't checked this in ages and when I check it I was offered to do fashion drawings for a Fashion Week!!! It's way to late to do it now since the event is in like FOUR DAYS!!! I guess this means that you guys are actually looking at my work. That makes me very happy. Here is two new piece that was done over the summer. Hope you like it. This week, I chose multiple (2) images from my sketchbook that are of Anne Boleyn and King Henry VIII, in celebration of the new movie The Other Boleyn Girl, which comes out Feb. 29th! I am also in the process of using these images in an upcoming project that is in collaboration with a school in England. These are only preliminary sketches and will probably be changed.

This piece is homework, but it fit well with this weeks choice. The story is that there once was a fisherman who had a choice of staying on land or living in the ocean with a mermaid. So I depicted the scene where he CHOOSE's to stay with the mermaid.

To tell you the truth, I am so shocked that my piece was chosen as the pick of the week. Thanks everyone for the amazing comments. BUT... that's not what this post is all about. This piece is originally a class project. The woman shown in the dress is Elizabeth Bathory. If you are a history buff you should know who she was. She was one of the first woman serial killers. The LEGEND is that she would kill young women whom were virgins and would bath in their blood and drink it because she thought that she would remain beautiful. That part probably isn't true but she did kill them none the less. Anyways, she was tried and was found guilty. She was locked in her tower and remained their for the rest of her life. Pretty gory, huh?

My first Illustration Friday project!!! This weeks topic was horizon. I automatically thought of NEW HORIZONS, as in trying new things, not just the horizon of a sunset or such things as horizontal lines. In order to be great one must first take that first step into the unknown, not knowing if one will fall into oblivion or be caught by the wings of fate.

Apart from being the most fabulous artist (sarcasm intended) I am also into film editing and AMVS. HA! I am such a dork when it comes to Anime, that I can get sucked up in to it for hours!!!!
